Banjanan is Back! Spring Arrivals at The Hive

We all remember the sarcastic line from Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals?... for spring? Groundbreaking.”

Spring is all about floral dresses, regardless of year. We realized we were missing them because we were missing a customer-favorite line: Banjanan. Yes we have lots of Ulla, but we still need those light and easy breezy dresses that we all want when the temperature rises.

It has been a few years since we had the line and we’re excited to bring it back. It’s a female-owned brand, which we love to support. The founder, Caroline Weller, worked in design for 20 years in NYC. She moved to India and wanted to create textiles that were made by hand and of heirloom quality. She creates all her patterns and works with local artisans to bring them to life.

We are so happy to have this line back just in time for all the big spring events like Easter, Mother’s Day and of course graduations. Come see all of our newest arrivals for spring at The Shoe Hive/The Hive.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
