Cire Trudon: Coveted Fragrances With Impeccable Quality
As I sit at my home workstation, I succumb to a chuckle. I still get a kick out of living here in Northern Virginia and getting to work at Bellacara. Being from a small town in New Mexico where the most glamorous fragrance was Victoria’s Secret Love Spell (I was a Strawberry and Champagne girl myself), working with a powerhouse like Cire Trudon was never something I imagined I would get to do but alas, here I am.
With the fall months closing in fast, a more potent fragrance with impeccable staying power is in order. If you’re unfamiliar with House Cire Trudon, allow me to introduce you. Started in 1643 in Paris by Claude Trudon, he sold spices and candles. Eventually, Trudon’s candles would light the Imperial Court of France. Their ingenuity and manufacturing making their candles the most coveted in France. Eventually they would create their scented candles and finally in 2017, their Eaux De Parfum’s were born. Sultry, intoxicating and infamously long lasting, their fragrances are second to none.
This feminine scent has top notes of Moroccan Neroli and Apple with undertones of Ylang-Ylang and Egyptian Jasmine with a foundation in Australian Sandalwood.

This citrus scent with head notes of mandarin and greapefruit, French cypress and Sambac Jasmine come together beautifully with base notes of frankinsence and vetiver. A fresh scent that leaves a trace of leather where it sprays.
Bellacara, $260
Vixi is my personal favorite. It smells like sandalwood coconut which somehow works. I was in Annapolis touring the Naval Academy and I recognized a European woman wearing it. She was shocked I knew her fragrence and swore me to secrecy. Of course, gatekeeping ones scent is allowed.
Bellacara, $260
Ohhh Mortel. Talk about a scent you don’t forget. This sexy, spicy and mystical scent will wreak havoc on your senses. Mortel is Trudon’s most coveted scent with the owner of a well-known fragrarence store in the area driving all the way to Bellacara in Old Town to purchase 2 bottles for her client. This benchmark of what a fragrance should be has notes of pimento, black pepper, frankincense and myrrh. You want to smell this one at least once in your life. I promise.
Bellacara, $260
Spice up your scent rotation this fall at Bellacara. We’re the only retailer in the DMV that carries Trudon fragrances, so be sure to check out the full collection at the store!
