A Special Day with Maison Venu

There are certain moments at Market that stop me in my tracks.

On my last day at Market this past January, I spotted a collection of pillows from across the showroom that immediately caught my eye. As I walked closer, I was completely taken back by the design, the colors, and the incredible texture of these textiles. These gorgeous pillows, tablecloths, and napkins are designer pieces that feel fresh and modern and are full of personality -- exactly what the Boxwood customer craves!

And then the story became even better.

As I began talking with the founder and designer, Olivia Massie, who was there alongside her mother, Camille, they noticed from my name badge that I was from Boxwood in Alexandria, Virginia, which is their hometown. Olivia grew up right here in Alexandria, and Camille is a Boxwood customer.

It instantly became one of those “this is meant to be” moments – kismet!

I’ve fallen in love with Maison Venu and am so happy about bringing another incredibly talented maker into the Boxwood family. Supporting designers with meaningful stories behind their work has always been one of my favorite parts of what we do here.

And now, I’m so excited to share that Olivia Massie, founder of Maison Venu, will be joining us at Boxwood on Wednesday, May 27, for a day of special events.

11am to 1pm - Designer’s Open House

5pm to 7pm - An Evening Reception & Conversation with Olivia Massie, Moderated by Sarah Shaw, Managing Editor of Alexandria Stylebook

Maison Venu is known for its richly layered textiles, thoughtful craftsmanship, and designer-collected feel, with pieces that bring warmth, depth, and personality into a home. During the trunk show, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Olivia, shop her collection, and hear more about the inspiration behind the brand.

The evening reception and conversation will be especially meaningful, a chance to hear Olivia’s story, her creative journey, and the process behind building Maison Venu into the beautiful brand it is today. We’re also honored to have Sarah Shaw, Managing Editor of Alexandria Stylebook, joining us as moderator for the evening’s conversation.
