New Shoe Line: Favorite Daughter at The Hive

I have decided 2026 is the year I am going to change up the shoe selection at The Shoe Hive. We have been doing this for almost 24 years now and I decided this fall we are bringing in 4 new brands to the store. Look for more information on those newcomers later, but for now, we are kicking it off with our first new brand, Favorite Daughter.

I am sure you have heard of Favorite Daughter; Era carries their clothing line. It was created by sisters Erin and Sara Foster. I have to admit, I am jealous they have the clothing line. I love all their pieces and they are very wearable and at a great price. When they reached out to me about the shoes, I thought it might be a great fit.

These are easy styles with a bit of a twist and once again, the prices are great. I was ready for a change from Sam Edelman and this line checked all the same boxes.

We started off with a small selection, primarily flats and sneakers. I mean isn’t that what we all wear anyway? I also got one pair of wedges, as they seem to be making a comeback.

The yellow net flat has proved to be the most popular from the store, but it is always a great sign when you sell some right out of the box, which we did.

Stop in and see our newest shoe line, Favorite Daughter, and check out all our new summer arrivals.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
