Celeste's Top 4 Favorite Pieces
I always seem to get in a style rut this time of year. Anyone else? I'm not quite ready for spring, and even though it only began a month ago, I am already sick of winter. The back-to-back snowstorms didn't help. I feel like the perfect item of clothing right now is that transitional piece. The three-season item is definitely my favorite type of style. Fortunately, we have some perfect transitional items that can work now or later.
I love everything that Sofia does. This tie-dye blouse is no different. Sofia makes all of her shirts one size, which actually works better than you think it would. This shirt is a bit on the thinner side but would work well with a layered tank top for extra warmth. You can pair it now or in the fall with dark denim and boots. It would look great with a denim skirt or white jeans for spring.
This dress from Cleobella is another one of my favorites for right now. I bought this one for myself! To wear now, I paired it with fleece-lined tights and tall black boots. You can transition it to fall with booties and no tights. For spring, it would work well with some strappy sandals. The long sleeves are perfect for that cooler spring day.
Another favorite is this Ruana from Michael Stars. When it came in, that's what Michael Stars called it. I had never heard of a Ruana before. A Ruana is a poncho-like outer garment native to the Colombian Andes. Anyway, I love it! It does layer well under a larger jacket (I've done it,) so it works well on a cold day. It will also be perfect for fall or spring with just a long sleeve tee layered under it. I recently wore mine on a plane ride. I'm always cold on planes. Not only did I look stylish, but I was warm, too.
I love this cotton cashmere blend capelet from Tyler Boe. It's another perfect transitional piece. Pair it now with denim and layered with a long sleeve tee for extra warmth. In the spring, it would work well with a tank top underneath paired with white denim or maybe even some lightweight patterned pants.
