"If there's one thing I'm thankful for right now, it's my little bubble of Del Ray..."

If there's one thing I'm thankful for right now, it's my little bubble of Del Ray. Granted, things are certainly different, but my constants are still there. Now, food is handed through the door, people are wearing masks, and cashiers are protected by plexiglass. I wanted to take a moment to feature a few of the businesses that I've been seeing working hard to stay open.Meet Serdar. He owns the Greener Cleaner. This is where I take all of my dry cleaning. With people not going into their offices or wearing much other than casual clothing, he's not getting a lot of business. If you have a few sweaters or winter coats that need dry cleaning, consider taking it to your local cleaners to give them an influx of cash into their business. If you have dry cleaning waiting to be picked up and haven't paid for it, perhaps call and pay for it over the phone. Dry cleaners pay upfront to have your items cleaned and only get paid when you pick up your clothing. Serdar is doing drop offs and pick-ups as well.  This is Preeti. She owns the neighborhood 7-11. If I run out of some staple, she usually has it. I'm trying not to go to the grocery store too often, so I come here for staples like milk and eggs.  Do you ever eat something new then decide you must have it constantly? I love bagel sandwiches. I just tried the "Fowl Mood" at Bagel Uprising and I love it! I add jalapenos and get it on an everything bagel with the Nicole's dill cream cheese. It's to die for. If you haven't tried these bagels, you are missing out!  Hope you all are staying safe and healthy!
