Classic & Comfortable Shoes: Introducing Emme Parsons at The Hive
In case you have not heard yet, I have big news: this is the year we are really changing up our shoe selection. I have been trying to figure out how to bring life back to the shoe section and hoping these new additions do the trick. I tend to pick up new brands based on the theory that if I am paying retail for them at another store for my personal collection, they must be good.
Once you own a store, you get pretty accustomed to a great self-imposed discount. Over the last year I have found myself purchasing a few different shoes that we don’t carry, and the main line I love is Emme Parsons. I also noticed Juliet wearing them as well, and have had other customers mention how great they are. That tipped me past the decision point - I figured it was time to try and bring them in.
I am happy to announce our first shipment has just arrived. We started small and with some of their best sellers - let’s see how it goes
I just got back from market and met Emme and she is just a lovely person. It made me even more excited to carry the brand. She is the mom of two young children and just has that effortless, easy style. You like her immediately and the brand also just makes even more sense. The styles are classic, understated and extremely comfortable. I found the brand on my quest to find shoes that don’t hurt my feet.
The first and most important shoe we ordered is the Bari Slide, this is literally the first shoe Emme Parsons designed and is always in the collection. That was another thing that drew me to the line; it is very edited and she does some of the same styles every season. This means they are timeless and worth the investment. I will live in these shoes. I love a thicker footbed but don’t like shoes that are too clunky, so this is really the perfect summer sandal for me. It can be dressed up or down and will never go out of style.
Next, we got a great heel. I feel like heels are having a bit of a comeback. As much as I wear flats, there are moments I want a heel, but I want it to be simple and not too high. That is why I loved the Delicat. It is the perfect heel height and has that barely-there look that I love. Then we had to get the sandal version of the heel, the Delice. It is that same barely-there look but in a flat sandal. If you want to be a little more dressed up but not wear a heel, you need this shoe. Both come in a black embossed snake that will take you through the fall as well.
Then I really wanted a great go-with-everything sandal that had a bit of a heel. The Cecilia checked both those boxes. I went with the optic white for summer but I am sure down the road we will bring in more colors.
Last but not least is the Parker Moccasin, this is the shoe that I first bought and why I found Emme. I wanted a more refined loafer. Something in-between a loafer and a ballet flat. It is so comfortable, I can’t stop wearing it.
In a few months we will add a few more styles to our fall selection. We got the Danielle, which sells out every year and one of my friends swears by, and the Minori boot in two colors.
I am so excited about this new brand and I hope you love it as much as I do. I wanted a brand that was made in Italy, was a smaller company that you couldn’t find in every department store, but had styles that were timeless and clean. That is what I found with Emme Parsons, and female-owned. It just doesn’t get better than that.
