New Arrivals at The Hive: Allude

We never know when Allude will appear on our doorstep. We always hope it arrives closer to Thanksgiving so it’s here for the holiday shopping season, but this year everything showed up just before Christmas—which means there’s even more inventory available now for everyone to enjoy.

Allude is fast becoming one of our most important brands. The smaller, Germany-based company was founded in 1993 and has been perfecting its craft ever since. Known for high-quality cashmere and modern styles, Allude has become a customer favorite. It was once more of a “winter” brand for us, but we quickly realized that sweaters are truly year-round staples—you just have to choose lighter weights.

That’s exactly what we focus on during resort season. We bring in lightweight sweaters that can be worn most of the year, including great short-sleeve styles, along with long-sleeve V-necks and cardigans. One of this spring’s biggest sweater trends is the “mesh” knit. Nearly every brand is offering a version this season, typically in an oversized, boxy fit. We brought in two styles from Allude that I love, and you can expect to see more of this look from other vendors as spring continues.
