Spring Is Calling—and So Are Our Trunk Shows

The snowstorm has been a long irritation for many of us, but it finally pushed me to focus on planning for spring. Maybe it was because I didn’t leave my house for five straight days, and barely ventured out the week after that. By the end of week one, even this Ohio girl—who usually loves cold weather—had had enough.

So I started thinking aspirationally about spring. About warmer days, lighter layers, and all the great clothes arriving in store. And naturally, that meant it was time to start planning events to match those deliveries.

This spring, The Hive is having our biggest lineup of trunk shows yet, with plans to add even more in May. It’s shaping up to be a very full, and very fun, season.

We’ll welcome back our tried-and-true favorites, including Ulla and Veronica, and of course the Fortunato sisters will be visiting as well. They’ll be joined by Stephanie from Ann Mashburn for made to order shirting. Stay tuned for dates and details—we promise it will be worth the wait.

We’re kicking off our Spring Trunk Show series with our second TWP event, a brand that’s quickly becoming one of our most popular. Later this season, we’ll also host our second Tanya Taylor event. Fall was a huge hit, and I’m excited to see how everyone responds to the spring collection.

So mark your calendars and keep an eye out for lookbooks, styled shoots, and plenty of new arrivals. Warmer weather is coming, and we’re ready for it.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
