The Ultimate Spring Style Event: Lizzie Fortunato + Ann Mashburn

Have you ever seen the Lizzie Fortunato Instagram posts or emails and thought, "I wish I could layer necklaces like they do"? Maybe you have hoped that one day they could actually help you with your "neckmess." Well, Friday, May 1 is your chance to do just that, with the one and only Lizzie Fortunato herself. That is right, we are kicking off our Lizzie Fortunato trunk show with a visit from the Fortunato sisters. They are bringing with them an extended selection of spring 2026 jewelry as well. Don’t worry, the event goes all weekend, but we wanted to make sure our customers had a chance to work with the designer directly.

Of course, when we have Lizzie Fortunato, we also always have Ann Mashburn at the same time. It has been an amazing collaboration over the years. This time, it isn’t Ann herself but our wonderful representative, Stephanie. She will have appointments for Made to Order shirting. Folks always ask what Made to Order shirting is. Just so customers know, it isn’t custom shirting like you might think of with men. It is a little different. Here is how it works: Stephanie will have samples of six different styles of shirts and dresses, and then over 40 fabric swatches. You pick the shirt style, the size, and the fabric, and in four to six weeks your customized shirt will arrive at the store. Reserve your spot here

One day, two great events that you won’t want to miss. Of course, the best part is that it is all 20 percent off as well.

We will also have Cafe Floress in store with her specialty lattes from 10 am to 1 pm. You won’t want to miss out.

Sign up for one or both. We can’t wait to see you.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
