Fall Color Trends
While most of my friends are basking by the pool or taking those last-minute vacations, I'm thinking about fall. Placing orders for fall happened so much differently this year. Without any major shows, I relied upon small shows, vendor visits, and zoom calls. It's really hard to make decisions based on zoom calls and line sheets over email. I definitely picked out a few duds this past spring. As I start to receive some early fall shipments, I cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Fall 2021 is going to be full of a wide variety of hues. From deep reds and earthy clay to bright fuchsia and bold blues, there will be something for everyone! So many of these colors work on a variety of skin tones. I love these two different shades of blue. The short dress by Cleobella ($198) and this gorgeous long silk dress from Johnny Was ($365) are both good examples of the shades of blue we will see this fall.
I love red... it looks good on almost everyone. The reds this season thus far are bright and bold. This leopard top from THML has the still-hot statement sleeves ($78). The long sleeve top from Ruby Yaya ($148) is also another good example of the season's top trends... animal print isn't going anywhere anytime soon!
Earthy clay, deep browns, and dusty rose will also be everywhere. These two sweaters from 525 America just arrived and are an immediate staff favorite. I particularly love the distressing on the clay sweater ($118) and the texture on the dusty rose sweater ($98).
