Banding Together: The Glam Rock Galentine’s Day Celebration

Are you, like me, bored of being stuck at home surrounded by piles of concrete snow? Not really feeling Valentine’s Day this year? I’ve got a plan. On February 21, 2026, from 7:00–10:30 pm, my favorite Alexandria gala returns: Banding Together. And this year, the timing makes it the perfect excuse for a Glam Rock–inspired Galentine’s night out.

Yes, the guys are invited—but let’s be honest, you and the girls will be the ones owning the dance floor. So start the group chat, buy the tickets, grab your friends, and meet me out there.

Tickets are $150 per person and are sure to sell out. The gala benefits the Center for Alexandria’s Children, which provides vital resources to victims of child abuse—an incredible cause worth supporting. The night includes great food and an open bar, with a vibe that’s anything but stuffy. While there are tables and chairs in the outer hall for eating and catching up, the real action is inside the auditorium, where School of Rock will kick things off with a short set, followed by Guilty Ghost playing your favorite cover songs all night long.

And then there’s the dress code: Glam Rock. Think leather, sequins, denim and yes, even sneakers. Bringing a date? Band tees, motorcycle jackets and jeans are all fair game—but dancing is mandatory when you get to dress that comfortably. Just saying.

I could go on about the incredible honorees—Sheriff Dana Lawhorne, John Porter and Debra Evans—or the meaningful impact the Center continues to have in our community. But sometimes it’s best to just show you how great an event really is. Trust me, this is one you won’t want to miss. Get your tickets here
