Sidewalk Sale Sneak Peek: The Hive And The Shoe Hive
This coming weekend is the biggest shopping event of the summer, The Alexandria Sidewalk Sale. City-wide you will find great deals at your favorite locally owned stores. Imagine the Warehouse Sale, but this time it is outside (or inside) your favorite stores in Alexandria.

Boutiques are going to have their biggest markdowns yet, which means the lowest prices you’ve seen all year. We are talking 60 to 80 percent off! We will have the courtyard full of great deals from both The Hive and The Shoe Hive. And don’t worry - if it rains we will bring it all inside. This event is happening, rain or shine.
The official sale is Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and August 11 but we are starting ours at The Hive and Shoe Hive a little early. The red pen will be out and we will have our markdowns starting Friday morning, August 9th.
So grab some coffee and head to Old Town early, the shoes, especially, go quickly.
If you haven’t explored Old Town and Del Ray shopping, this is a great weekend to do it. You’ll find it all – from home, to kids to fashion, food, books and so much more. I have been doing this event for more than 15 years and never has there been a better time for retail in our city.
Don’t forget there is free parking Saturday and Sunday at the meters in Old Town.
