Designer Spotlight: AGL
A new shipment from my favorite shoe line is cause for excitement. Attilio Giusti Leombruni, which we all know and love as AGL, truly makes the best shoes you can find. Based in Italy, of course, they are a third-generation family shoe company, and three sisters – Sara, Vera, and Mariana – are now at the helm. The family has owned their own factory for over 70 years. Not only do they know how to make shoes, they are also the nicest people to have as business partners.
So, when the latest delivery arrived, we decided it was time for a Designer Spotlight at The Shoe Hive. AGL has been with us from the very beginning. In fact, it is the only brand we still have on our shelves today that has been there since we opened in 2003. We were one of the first two retailers in the United States to carry the brand – and since the one other isn’t around these days, we like to say we were the first.
I love AGL’s fall collection! I’m a big fan of the new sneaker. But I’m most excited about the ballet flat. If you follow fashion news, you’ve probably heard about the return of this iconic shoe style. It’s a great buy-now-wear-now shoe if you need a closed-toe option for work or walking around town. Personally, I will be picking up AGL’s Jomy – a chic, pointy-toe
version – in both colors. I know they will be the shoes I grab on repeat until boot season.
Starting Thursday, July 20, we are offering 20 percent off the latest AGL arrivals, in store and online. Don’t miss out! Stop by for the Courtyard Clearance and check out AGL’s new collection.
