Holiday Happenings at Kiskadee
I can't believe it's that time again. I feel like this year has both flown by and dragged on at the same time. But here we are again... on the cusp of all of the holiday activities. I like to announce these early so that people can plan and get things on their calendars. It's such a busy time of year.
First, I'd like to talk about Black Friday. I've talked to so many friends and customers, and most people say the same thing. They just don't think they are ready to crowd into a store on Black Friday. To be perfectly honest, I truly enjoyed sleeping in last year and having an extra day to recuperate after Thanksgiving before heading full throttle into the holiday season. So, I've decided I'm going to do the same thing this year. Customers loved it so much last year! Instead of one day of deals on actual Black Friday, we will have our weeklong event again. Starting Thursday, November 18 - Wednesday, November 24, the entire store will be 30 percent off of full-priced items.

On Small Business Saturday, we will do our popular draw-a-discount all day, and any purchase of $100 or more will get a Frasier Fir votive candle. To celebrate Small Business Saturday, the Shops of Del Ray will host a Shop Small Crawl on Saturday, November 27, from 10am - 6pm, featuring special promotions, giveaways, and other holiday surprises.
This year I'm excited we get to participate in Cyber Monday (November 29). Starting on Sunday evening through Monday night, you can save 30 percent off everything on our website. Then we head into December with some fun events in Del Ray. Ladies Night Out is back, now called the Holiday Sip and Shop. It will be held on Thursday, December 9, from 6pm- 9pm. Customers can stroll along the avenue while enjoying specials and complimentary refreshments. Another favorite event is back this year, the Candy Cane Bar Crawl. This is one of my personal favorites. It will be on Saturday, December 11, from 1pm - 6pm. Kiskadee will have a special promotion... stay tuned.
Then one of my favorite things for the whole year, the 12 days of Kiskadee, starts. After feedback from customers, I've decided to start it earlier than we usually do. So, starting December 1, we will have a daily special. It will be announced via email the night before and on social media the morning of, so make sure you are on our email list, and follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see what the daily special is.
