Holiday Hosting: Adding Instant Sparkle Without the Fuss

I love the holidays—the glamour of adding sparkle, sequins, stones, and shimmer. The constant joy of hosting, attending, fete-ing! It’s the time of year where ‘more is more’ becomes my entire mantra (see my mood board images below!).

Arm party of bangles? That’s me! Layers of necklaces and charms? Pile it on. Champagne? Yes, please. I’m usually the one jingling and jangling as I raise my glass and blow a double kiss into the air while gathering with friends and family. 

But while this approach to style and glamour works for me, I also understand that this maximalist look isn’t for everyone. But, what I do believe — and what I know from years and years of costume design — is that accessories and beauty hold such a magical power to transform an outfit. We don’t always need to go out and buy a new dress or outfit for every party. When you have something you already love, wear it! The easiest way to make it new? Add an accessory, then change your hair and makeup. 

This nod to accessorizing one’s style is exactly what we’ll be celebrating at our upcoming holiday Sip and Shop on Tuesday. While we like to offer our annual December Sip and Shop event as an opportunity to shop for gifts, what we noticed is that so many of our customers are shopping for…themselves. So this year, we’re upping the ante and focusing on holiday style for you (and if you happen to find a gift for someone, we’ll consider that a bonus!).

We’re partnering with Celthia Corsino of Bellacara to showcase our favorite holiday beauty products, a new collection of accessories and a variety of red, white, and rose sparkling wines—proving that sometimes all you need is a bit of sparkle and a dab of shimmer to make you feel holiday-ready.

From 5:30 to 8pm, Celthia will be on hand to provide guidance on taking your every day makeup look up a notch with shimmer and shine. Treat yourself to holiday beauty and shop some of her most giftable items.

In addition to the winter and festive merch already at American In Paris, we’re bringing in a new collection of accessories that will ignite your wardrobe with the ultimate holiday spirit. And our friends from Wholly Vino have selected three sparkling varietals.
