Introducing Ampersand As Apostrophe
They say the third time is a charm, so I hope you all like this bag line as much as I do on the third time we’ve contemplated this line for our stores. Our former manager, Katie Coslov, actually emailed me about the line once upon a time. I looked and thought it was so cute and reached out. Come to find out, I had ignored a few emails the line had already sent me soliciting our business. So, with Katie’s referral and feeling like a jerk for never responding, I had to place an order.
All joking aside, these bags are really great, and the line is Ampersand As Apostrophe. The company’s female founder, Jessica Park, is a native of Detroit and was trained as an architect, so clearly, she gets form and function.
I love the bright colors they bring in, along with the basics that you know will always work. The inside of the bags are as important as the outside. They are just a really good design and really well made. Her first collection was made from a 100-year-old mailbag and was an example of someone solving design challenges. It was an over-the-shoulder bag doubled as a clutch.
You can find this collection at The Shoe Hive. There are so many good bags to choose from right now it is hard to pick a favorite!
