Introducing Aviator Nation
We always get recommendations from clients about brands that we should bring to the stores. Some suggestions are easier to make happen than others. Oftentimes, the suggested brand isn’t opening new accounts, or someone close to us already carries it and has rights to this territory. There is also a matter of it working with the other lines we already have. As much as I hate it, we do have budgets, and with minimums and other requirements from the brands we already carry, it can be a bit of a retail puzzle to fit a new line into our mix. This past year, we haven’t received many suggestions, for obvious reasons, except one brand - Aviator Nation. I will admit, I was hesitant to explore this possibility. Alicia was the one who passed along the recommendation, and she also thought it would be a wise move. I have a pair of sweats from Soul Cycle that they made, and they are comfortable. I just didn’t know if we needed yet another line of sweatpants and sweatshirts. I also made the mistake of looking at their Instagram account, and all I seemed to ever see there were tiny bikinis and lots of abs.Once I started looking, I realized it was all so cute and comfy and pretty perfect for summertime. It is just a happy, relaxed, and fun to wear line. When I did get in touch with them, I was so lucky that I even got the line. They have been so popular the last year that they weren’t opening new accounts. But, since our store has been around well, forever, and I work with some other brands in their showroom, they let me pick up the line. I am so excited to unpack the first box!We also will be one of only two independent stores in Virginia to carry the line. So, thank you, Alicia, and all the other customers who finally made me realize I needed to carry this great new line called Aviator Nation.
