Kiskadee's Helping Hands

It makes me so sad to hear about all of the need out there. We've had bins outside of Kiskadee to collect items for Grace Episcopal's food pantry. This food pantry serves the immediate Del Ray area and specifically those that are within walking distance. These bins will stay outside of Kiskadee during business hours (weather depending) until there is no longer a need. They really need diapers (all sizes), laundry detergent, dish soap, toothbrushes, sponges, all-purpose cleanser, toothpaste, and non-perishable food items such as maseca, corn tortillas, flour tortillas, 1lb bags of rice/black beans/pinto beans, shelf-stable milk, fruit cups, mac and cheese boxes, and coffee.Another collection we are starting is to deliver care packages to healthcare workers at the long-term care facilities. They've been hit especially hard and could use some moral support. We are putting together goody bags to boost their spirits. Suggestions include individually wrapped snacks, mini bottles of Gatorade or water, Chapstick, hand lotion, and vitamin C packets similar to Emergen-C and Airborne. I will be collecting these items during business hours in bins outside until May 29th.Thank you for helping!
