Let's Talk Loungewear

I know most people hate the cold and the shorter days that come with this time of year. Not me; I love them. Nothing makes me happier than putting on my “cozies” as soon I get my kids home from their school activities and hunkering in for the night. I want to sit by the fire and do nothing; it is one of my best talents. I also got a new sectional sofa this summer so the couch-sitting this winter is going to be epic.I know there is a “get dressed“ movement (Ali Helmuth: I am talking to you). I support this effort, but I also support loungewear. There are days when that is all I wear, and I consider those the greatest days.So, when I was in The Findings showroom this summer and discovered The Great had introduced loungewear (okay, call it like it is: pajamas) I could not write an order fast enough. As much as I love loungewear, I find most of it to be too young (I can’t wear pajamas with doughnuts on them) or too skimpy, which defeats the point of being cozy. The offerings from The Great were exactly what I needed in my life. This is time for a confession - I am somewhat of a selfish buyer.If you want loungewear you can go out in, then Sundry is the brand for you. Their legging sets are the perfect option to be comfortable inside but look nice enough to run to lunch. Then can we talk about the return of velour?! That is right, close your eyes and imagine the Juicy outfits of the early 2000s revamped. I just could not resist.I think these make the perfect gifts. I mean we don’t always want to spend money on our own casual and cozy options, but considering how much we all wear them, they really do make a great investment.
