Lisa's Must-Have Items For Your Spring Getaway
Spring is (almost) in the air! While the warmer temps may not be here yet, it never hurts to plan. I'm a big proponent of having something to look forward to, whether that's a big something - like a getaway - or a little something - like scheduling an outdoor meal with friends when dining outside will no longer require wearing multiple layers.
For this reason, my husband and I have already started making plans for a late April or early May getaway. It's a big time of the year for us (or should I say, for him?) with our wedding anniversary and my birthday. I've been thinking about what to pack in preparation for our spring travels. If you're also planning a spring trip, look no further than the nest!
There are so many beautiful things to consider - from accessories to apparel to eyewear. Here are a few favorites that I've added to my cart:
First up are these sunglasses by DIFF Eyewear. Not only do I love the variety of styles DIFF makes, but they're also a brand that is doing good in the world. Through DIFF's Gift of Sight Program, the company has provided eye care to more than 2.3 million people globally. Of course, at $105, these are not as inexpensive as a pair of sunglasses I might typically buy from Target, but I know they're good quality and will last beyond one season.
A small bag to pack essentials - like lip gloss and sunscreen - is next on my list. With a spring trip coming up, I'm eager to up my game on travel bags that not only add a pop of color but are also practical. And with a price range of $40 - $45, it won't break the bank. It will be a tough choice amongst these options by Alicia Bell, who is an avid traveler herself!
Does anyone else spend hours researching local restaurants before a trip? I don't think I'm alone in this. I'd like to have at least one nice outfit to wear for our night out on the town. Kiskadee has several new spring apparel arrivals at the moment, so this is going to be another tough decision.
The two that I've added to my cart are below. Skemo is a new brand for us and combines natural colors with glam, like the gold beading on this new arrival - the Java Mimi Short Dress ($125). The other dress I am contemplating is the Elizabeth dress in blue by S'edge ($155). S'edge has a special place in my heart as a brand made in Los Angeles. As someone who spent more than ten years living in Southern California, it brings out my sunny California vibes.
Truthfully, I may not have the willpower to wait until early April to move these from "in my cart" to "in my closet," but I know in the weeks ahead, we'll be seeing even more beautiful options arriving. So, if you're planning something to look forward to in the warmer months, be sure to stop by and see us! We'd love to help style you for the occasion - no matter how big or small.
