Lizzie Fortunato: Our Picks

I know I can’t stop talking about this week’s big event, but it is just too major to not do a post about just the Lizzie Fortunato spring collection. The Fortunato sisters will be here Friday, April 1 (in case you missed the roughly one-million other emails and posts we’ve done about it), but I wanted to make sure we showed everyone all the pieces we have in stock, all we are getting in for spring, and all those we have just for the event.

The Spring collection is my favorite yet (I say this every collection because it just keeps getting better and better). I feel like they are known for their earrings, which of course, are still beautiful, and I need lots of them, but the necklaces this season are the showstoppers. I love following them on Instagram to see how they layer all their necklaces; they are the masters. But they make layering easy for us by offering pieces that can be worn long or doubled for that effortless “neck mess” look we all try to emulate. If you want their advice on how to make layering look easy, stop by Friday from 10am to 4pm to meet Lizzie and Kathryn in person.

We have so many pieces in stock from them, and they are bringing even more items for us to have just for the weekend. There are so many goodies to choose from, but we wanted to share some of our top picks. Don’t be surprised if they have to be specially ordered because all of us on staff have already snatched them up.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
