Markle Sparkle: Line the Label and John + Jenn
When Meghan Markle announced her royal engagement wearing an ivory-colored coat from brand called Line the Label, it changed the trajectory of the company. Its website was flooded, Instagram was inundated, and the coat of course sold out.Prior to becoming a duchess, for seven years Meghan Markle was filming the show Suits in Canada. She began working with stylist and Canadian fashion celebrity Jessica Mulroney. They became close friends (her cute kids were page boys and a flower girl in the Royal Wedding) and the rest is fashion history. Most would credit Mulroney for Markle’s success when it comes to her attire, and this friendship and style collaboration has helped put many Canadian brands at the forefront of the fall fashion scene.I mean, I pretty much can be found wearing one of two Canadian imports at all times: Lululemon and Smythe.Kidding aside, Smythe is also one of Mulroney’s favorite lines and is sold right here in Alexandria at TSALT.The “Markle Sparkle” has taken us all by storm and luckily for me, I had already carried Line The Label before she made them huge. In fact we just unpacked boxes and boxes of sweaters, along with the updated version of the “Meghan” coat.Along with Line The Label, they also have a second brand called John & Jenn, which offers the latest trends at really great prices. So come check out our fall picks, you never know when you will find the Duchess wearing one of them.
