Woman Seeks Creative Co-Conspirator: Must Love Beautiful Chaos & Midnight Ideas

There’s a strange thing that happens when you spend years building things.

In the beginning, you are everything. You are the ideas. The creative. The storyteller. The marketing department. The publicist. The photographer. The brand architect. The one writing captions at midnight while simultaneously deciding what the walls should look like, what the menu should say... and somehow convincing the world to care.

For most of my life, that has been me. And I wouldn’t change a second of it. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where all of this started.

Long before restaurants and Lady Boss, one of my very first jobs was working for Le Château Stores of Canada, a fashion company that was wildly ahead of its time. I was young, and somehow I had landed what felt like the perfect creative playground.

I designed window displays. I dressed mannequins.

I spent my days surrounded by fashion, props, and somewhere along the way, those mannequins stopped feeling like mannequins.

They became characters. They became stories.

They became these strange little creative companions, and I realized very early on that I had this instinct I would carry forever.

I love bringing things to life.

A few years later, in the early '90s, I found myself working at a restaurant in Adams Morgan called Cities. Again, wildly ahead of its time. Every year, the entire restaurant transformed into a different city somewhere in the world.

One year, I was helping redesign Mexico.

We had been painting chairs all day. They were still wet.

Naturally, guests were already walking in because, in hospitality, life rarely waits for you to finish creating. A woman sat directly on one of the freshly painted chairs and stood up with paint splashed all over the back of her coat.

I remember the absolute panic.

But I’ll never forget her reaction. She looked at it, laughed, and said she thought it made the coat even better. "More artistic." As though someone had accidentally collaborated with Jackson Pollock. That moment stayed with me.

Because creativity has always felt exactly like that.

Beautiful chaos.

Building while life is already happening around you.

Creating something imperfect and somehow discovering that imperfection becomes part of the art itself.

And for years, I’ve done exactly that.

I understand aesthetics, storytelling, restaurants, design, experiences, and how to make people pay attention in a world increasingly comfortable with "that’s okay."

But lately, I’ve realized something.

Growth demands surrender.

The very things you become exceptional at eventually become the things you need to trust someone else to help carry.

And apparently... I’ve arrived there.

There are new projects quietly on the horizon.

Big ideas taking shape.

Things I’m deeply excited about building.

But for the first time in a very long time... I need help.

Not ordinary help.

I need what I’ve affectionately coined:

A Multimedia Maven.

Someone wildly creative.

Someone fast as fire.

Someone who instinctively understands social media, branding, visual storytelling, photography, design, and how to make beautiful things people obsess over.

Because ultimately...

I’m looking for someone who understands the same thing I’ve spent my life doing.

Bringing things to life.

— Social media, graphics, reels + editing, brand building, photography, content creation, making beautiful things people remember.I’m not looking for someone who needs hand-holding.

I’m looking for someone hungry. Someone with taste. Someone curious. Someone who gets excited by building something from absolutely nothing.

You’ll work hard. You’ll eat well.

You’ll probably end up at some very good parties.

So if you think this sounds like you...

Come find me.

I’m building beautiful new things.

And I have a feeling the next chapter is going to be very interesting.
