Is it us, or does it feel like everything’s suddenly a whole lot busier? (Or, maybe I’m just bitter about spending 40 minutes in traffic on Duke Street last week 🤨). When things feel topsy-turvy, I find comfort in the world of design. Fashion, home, art, food, it doesn’t matter! Give me all the beautiful things to scroll through while I sip on warm cider and listen to a podcast. If you need a sweet (or cozy) escape, or want to learn something new, check out what our contributors are thinking about this week:

Amy: Penny Post is brimming with sweets and treats for Halloween. Our favorite popcorn maker, who absolutely nails the seasonal flavors, has released a very festive Monster Mix that is…scary good. Salted caramel popcorn drizzled with French Broad craft dark chocolate, topped with (all natural!) Halloween sprinkles. A perfect snack-size bag for trick-or-treaters, scary movie marathons, and bonfires! (Available at Penny Post, $6)

Celthia: Westman Atelier’s best-selling baby cheeks blush shade, Petal, has now been reimagined in a limited-edition deco Blush, Lit Up Highlight Stick, and Squeaky Clean Lip Balm! In Gucci Westman’s Words: The Petal Edition is “Everything you need to get the ultimate juicy oxygenated flush.” This beautiful set is limited edition for the holidays, so get yours (and one for a friend!) while supplies last!

Britt: Thrilled that the annual neighborhood Witches Ride is back again to raise money and support for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on October 29th! With a route that takes riders throughout Waynewood, the Witches Ride is a fun and exciting event where local ladies dress up as witches and ride their brooms (decorated bikes) to pass out candy to children and raise money for a great cause. To participate, donate $20, and dress as a witch. More information can be found here.

Elizabeth: I know I should be over sweats at this point. Ready to get dressed. But the colder temperatures and the upcoming holidays make me ready for some new cozy outfits and these tops and bottoms from Frank & Eileen are just what I need. I love a good set so I would pair them together but they are perfect to wear as separates. And who doesn’t love a drawstring during the holidays.

Adrien: If you can believe it, science is just getting up to speed on the many effects of menopause. It’s no wonder why so many women, including my clients, feel completely in the dark about what’s going on with their changing bodies! Our bodies – and specifically our nervous systems – are being, quite literally, rewired. Our brains are genuinely changing. The last time our bodies changed this much was during puberty. To ignore this fact is to be, well…short sighted or, worse, miserable. Knowledge is power when it comes to stopping menopause from stopping you. Did you know how important sleep is in this menopause journey? You can decrease menopausal discomfort SIGNIFICANTLY by joining me in November for a live Mastering Sleep Webinar. I'll share my PROVEN small-yet-impactful sleep habit changes to help Alexandria Stylebook readers MASTER their sleep and THRIVE throughout menopause.
