Our Singles Sale Is Back

Annette is our wonderful merchandising director, and there are days when boxes come in, and as we unpack them, she shakes her head at me and mumbles (okay, maybe more than mumbles), “where am I supposed to put all of this?” Let’s just say I don’t make her job easy. This spring, I am going to try to do a better job of buying less but more of it. It has not been easy for me.

But I know that two things happen when I don’t buy a lot of a certain item: we get down to one unit very quickly, which then leads to the store looking messy. This leaves Annette very unhappy and causes frustration with shoppers when what they want, they see, but we only have one size.

I am trying to help ease this frustration by having a “singles” sale. That is right if we only have one, we are marking it way down to make room for all the great new pieces we are receiving daily. Single items from fall will be 50 percent off, and then single items from sale will be marked down to 80 percent off. It is time to get the sales floor looking better and easier to shop.
