Get Ready to Live Outside

As I write this article, the weather is quite dreary, rainy and chilly. Hardly gets you in the mood to dream of sitting outside with friends and family enjoying your garden, a meal or simply looking at the stars. Let’s prepare ourselves for a mood change, shall we? Introducing Brown Jordan at Patina Polished Living.

Brown Jordan has been mastering the art of outdoor living since 1945. They create luxurious products that exhibit timeless beauty and longevity. They achieve this with innovative design, durable materials, and manufacturing expertise. Quality is instilled in every piece they produce along with handcrafted details to fashion each seamless, flawless piece. A bonus, especially regarding outdoor furniture, is their best-in-class warranties on their frames and cushions.

We would love to be able to display every piece they offer but alas, can only fit so much in our store and garden space. We do have a lovely selection for you to experience along with color chips and a catalog with stunning photos of each offering. You can also visit them online and use their interactive website which allows you to select a frame style, see it in every color and different fabrics.

If you decide to make an investment in outdoor furniture, we are here to help you every step of the way. We have customers who grew up with Brown Jordan garden furniture which is still part of their family. That’s truly a statement to the quality and beauty of this amazing outdoor line!

Patina Polished Living was created 10 years ago by friends Amanda Mertins and Kimberly Weiler.

Amanda Mertins was born in Ohio and graduated the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics. She started moving and editing furniture and accessories while in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. She enjoys baking desserts and playing with her grandchildren.

Kim Weiler was born in Pennsylvania and graduated the University of the Arts with a degree in graphic design. Upon graduating, she was immediately hired by one of her professors at the Katz Wheeler Design firm. She loves design, gardening, sweet tea and all French bulldogs.

Amanda and Kim are excellent complements to one another-one could even say the Yin and Yang of design. Being very different people but with interconnected forces is the reason their partnership continues to flourish.
