Elizabeth’s Top Five Shoe Picks for Spring
We finally have a minute to take a deep breath this week and focus on all the great new inventory we have at The Shoe Hive and The Hive for spring. We have been talking so much about AGL and Veronica Beard, we have neglected the other great brands we have at each store. We literally get boxes and boxes of new merchandise in the door everyday. We can’t keep up with it at this point!
I thought this would be a good week to focus on shoes. I know we switched the back of the store to gifts and accessories, but I promise we still have tons of great shoes in store. We just got Marion Parke back into our collection, which is exciting. We have expanded our Freda Salvador selection as well. This year we also have tons of great Sam Edelman options. Spring is a time when we don’t always want to spend a ton on a sandal or espadrille that we might wear to outdoor events and not be “so gentle” on. Sam Edelman is great if you want to try a style of shoe you haven’t had before, or just want something fun for the warmer months. You also can’t beat the price.
Here are the five shoes for spring that I’ve already purchased. Of course, you know me, I will eventually buy more than just five, but this is where I started for the season:
1. Ann Mashburn Diagonal Strap Sandal
We had this style last year and everyone loved it. It’s clean and simple and goes with everything. It seems like it wouldn’t have much support, but it really is comfortable. I love the metallic but have other colors as well.
2. Veja Rio Branco Aircell
I love sneakers, and I know I’m an outlier but I love the running shoe style from Veja. I also think you can’t go wrong with a white sneaker for spring.
3. AGL Blanca Flat
This was my first purchase for spring. Usually I wait until after the event to purchase my AGL but I couldn’t miss out on this one. I love that it has a bit of texture so the white is a little more subtle.
4. AGL Angie Ball Heel
I did wait until after the event to purchase these. I was checking the web site every night to see if they sold out in my size. I am happy to report they didn’t, so I will be wearing this all spring and well into fall. I love the color and of course the gold. We all know I love gold.
5. Freda Piper
You will often find me wearing non-Shoe Hive shoes in the summer because I, like the rest of the world, love Birkenstocks. Well, I think this Freda sandal will get me out of my Birkenstocks this summer. I am happy to report they are just as comfortable as well.
