How To Pick the Correct Shoe by Pant Style
Don’t fret, skinny jeans aren’t going anywhere. They are have become that easy staple for us. With that being said, we are seeing the trendy ankle crop flare and wide-leg pants everywhere. So how do you actually wear them? The answer is in your footwear. Choosing the right shoe can be even more important that the right blouse in some cases. But, of course, we want to choose something that all works together.
The Crop Flare Jean
We want to see that ankle! Show it off. Make sure your cropped jeans are not too short and not too long. The ideal place for them to hit is about 1.5 to 2 inches above your ankle bone. So for choosing shoes, ideally we would like something with a block or stacked heel. This gives you a little more height and elongates your leg. If you opt for flats, choose something with a pointed toe. Strap-y sandals also work! Just show off those ankles, even if you’re wearing these jeans with your Golden Goose sneakers or slip-on slides.
The Wide-Leg Pants/Gaucho
Again, the focus is on elongating that leg line. So a nude-colored block heel would be best, but if flats are necessary, just focus on making sure that toe box is pointed. If you have a full-length, wide-leg pant, you can get away with a little bit more. Try a platform, open-toe slide or sandal for a more casual look.
