Shopping local gives your gifts a story. Each product you’ll find in Shop Made in Virginia tells the story of its maker, sharing who they are, how long they’ve been creating, and where they are from in Virginia. It’s a small element that makes for a big impact, personalizing shopping that has become so routine.
Shop Made in Virginia is dedicated to local creatives and small makers who need a platform to display their creativity and grow in a retail space. Founded by Stacey Price and Michael Babin - who established Shop Made in Virginia as the sister store to their several Shop Made in DC locations - their goal is to drive traffic to neighborhoods while creating low entry-to-market opportunities for Virginia-based makers and small retailers.
Shop Made in Virginia showcases the talents of our community, full of creative designers and artists who make one-of-a-kind gifts curated together online and in their brick-and-mortar store on King Street. The Alexandria shop opened at the start of the shopping season at 1121 King Street, and inside, shoppers can find home decor, jewelry, prints, stationery, and of course, a wide selection of Virginia and Alexandria-inspired products. The store also offers an opportunity for workshops hosted by the store’s makers that include classes on watercolors, mixed media, floral design, and many other creative lessons that can be found on their website.
