The Unity in Community
Can we take a moment to focus on the unity in community? One of the greatest parts of my job is experiencing the incredible culture of salon life—it’s truly the heartbeat of connection. The salon is more than just a place for beauty; it’s a hub where we share the latest buzz in town, discover new businesses, talk about exciting local events, and, most importantly, gain insight into each other’s day-to-day lives.
Holding space for people to express themselves freely—without judgment—is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work. The relationships built in this space are beautiful. We get to inspire one another with trends, cultural shifts, and meaningful conversations that go beyond the surface.
Lately, people have been asking about seasonal trends, and when I take a step back, I see something much deeper happening. There’s a growing movement toward authentic self-expression and a desire for real, one-on-one connections. People are craving spaces where they can be heard, seen, and valued. In a world that often feels chaotic, grounding ourselves in our relationships has never been more important.
One of my favorite trends right now is comfort luxury—the idea that things should feel both accessible and special. And this carries into our personal connections as well. For my single beauties out there, I see how creating meaningful friendships and social structures becomes more challenging as we get older. That’s why fostering unity within our communities is so essential.
This craving for connection also reflects in fashion. More than ever, self-expression is at the forefront. The message is no longer “look at me,” but rather, “let me be me.” From oversized silhouettes to gender-neutral fashion, people are using style as a language of self-expression.
So let’s celebrate this time. Let’s truly see each other. Let’s hold space, listen deeply, and uplift one another. And most of all, let’s honor our moments of self-expression.
Below, see the collection Rising in Silence which was styled to reflect our desire to seek connection with each other and our environment.
I can’t wait to see you at Stylists at North or around town to share more conversations, and continue exploring how we show up for ourselves and each other. See you soon beauties!
