I am always looking for great clutches. Something simple and classic, but not boring. Since you don’t use a clutch every day, I think it is something that should withstand the test of time. It can’t be too trendy and you have to be able to use it when you go out to dinner or a cocktail party. This is not always easy to find. Often they are so dressy with crystals and beading that they scream “black tie,” and I understand having one in your wardrobe for that purpose, but how many times a year do you really wear black tie? I can’t remember the last time I did, but I think it was 2019.

It is why I always loved the Jerome Dreyfuss Clic Clac bag. It was the perfect size, not too expensive, and perfect for any occasion. Sad to say they stopped making it and ever since I received the news, I have been on the hunt.

Well, I found the replacement bag, the Game Clutch by Maria la Rosa. I love the shape. It fits everything you need and it comes in an array of colors. I ordered them before knowing too much about them. When they arrived, I could tell they were made well and I should have known they would be because it is an Italian brand.

Maria la Rosa started her company in Milan over thirty years ago and has since been joined by her two daughters. They create beautiful bags, socks, and accessories. The bags are all woven on wooden looms without mechanical parts. They also incorporate macrame, knit, crochet, and embroidery into their designs. She uses only quality, natural fibers like cotton, raffia, silk, chenille, cashmere, and alpaca.

Right now, we only have the clutch but since ordering we learned about all the other great styles they have to offer and we can’t wait to bring more Maria la Rosa into the store. We hope you love it as much as we do.
