Hunter Bell Trunk Show at The Hive: Preview the Lookbook

Are you ready for some great spring dresses? I guess a better question is are you ready for spring? I think most of us would enthusiastically answer yes to both! We are hosting our second Hunter Bell trunk show this weekend to get you ready for warmer weather and all the parties. It’s time to get out of our winter sweats and cozies.

I always know spring has arrived because of the amount of event donation requests we receive. Once April hits and spring break is over, the social calendar gets busy in Alexandria. All the schools and local charities host their event in the spring and we want to make sure you have the perfect dress for each.

If you aren’t familiar with Hunter Bell, you might recall she won Fashion Star, one of the first reality fashion shows in 2013. But she was well on her way to success before the show. After graduating from Alabama and Parsons and working in fashion, she started her own line in NYC in 2006 from her apartment. She now lives in Texas and has three young children.

She is one busy lady but every market she greets us with her southern charm and a big smile. I also want to note that it’s rare to have the name behind the brand actually show up in person at market. But she is always there. She represents her brand perfectly. Hunter always looks put together and feminine, with a bit of an edge. If you follow the team behind this line on Instagram they really have some of the best styling around. They put pieces together in ways I would never imagine. Her designs are bold and feminine, just like her personality.

Come shop The Hive’s trunk show that starts this Thursday, April 11. All Hunter Bell is 20 percent off! Check out the Hunter Bell Lookbook and if you can’t make it give us a call or email me and we will help you out over the phone. Our Hunter Bell offerings are online as well.

Now can we just get some warmer weather?

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
