Elizabeth’s Top Five Picks From Veronica Beard

Last year, we hosted a trunk show series in the fall for all our most popular brands to help celebrate our 20th anniversary. They were so well received, we tried to bring back as many as we could! Of course, this means bringing back Veronica Beard this fall, our most popular brand since our opening.

I noticed while watching the Olympics this summer that many of the TV personalities wore Veronica Beard. It got me thinking about why it’s so popular and how it just fills a void in the market for so many people. It’s preppy with a twist, classic without being boring, and tailored without being stuffy. I really just think it makes getting dressed easier — especially if you have to wear a suit or go into an office occasionally, which many of our clients still do. They really just know how to make women feel good. And isn’t that what getting dressed is all about?

We always host an event in the spring for Veronica Beard. But really, I think it’s more of a fall brand. Or at least I personally buy more of it in the fall. Maybe it’s more of my love of fall, in general, but all the blazers and tweeds just make me happy. This fall they really have so many things that I personally love like suiting, long skirts, fair isle sweaters and lots of the color brown. I wanted to send out the Veronica Beard Lookbook early and make sure everyone had their calendars marked. Also, here are my top five picks:

The event kicks off at The Hive on Thursday, September 19th and we’ll be open until 7pm that night and then it continues through the 22nd. We hope to see you in store soon!

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
