The Scoop on Made To Order Shirting at The Hive

Next weekend’s Ann Mashburn Trunk Show event at The Hive is major for us, and we know you’ve heard a lot about it. To make sure you’re clear on all the details, here’s a detailed graphic and “most commonly asked questions” below to help you understand everything we have going on.

1) When Can I Meet Ann Mashburn?

You can meet Ann Mashburn on Thursday night at our VIP event from 4 to 8pm at The Hive. She won’t be in store Friday, but Stephanie from her team will be there to help with Made to Order shirting.

2) When Can I Meet the Fortunato Sisters?

You can also meet Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato on Thursday night from 4 pm to 8 pm, and they will also be in store on Friday from 10 am to 4pm.

3) What is Made to Order Shirting?

Made to Order shirting is not custom, they do not take measurements. Instead they have samples of the different styles of shirts and dresses that you can custom order. You pick out the style you would like to order and you can try the different samples to decide which option and size works for you. Once that decision is made there are tons of fabrics from which to choose. So you select the style and fabric, and they make the shirt just for you.

4) When can I place Made to Order Shirting?

You can place Made to Order shirting Thursday night and Friday. Here is a signup link for Thursday, April 25 and the signup link for Friday, April 26

5) Can I special order Lizzie and Ann pieces?

Yes, we are happy to place special orders if they have the item in stock back in their showroom.

6) How long does the Trunk Show Last?

Both trunk shows go through the weekend.

7) Is there a discount?

All Ann Mashburn and Lizzie Fortunato pieces are 20 percent off.

I spent the first part of my career as a copy-writer who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
