Summer Sale: Let the Shopping Games Begin

It’s hard to believe it’s sale time already The Shoe Hive/The Hive! Even though we started a little later this year than last, it still managed to sneak up on us. To make up for the late start, we’re bringing back one of our favorite markdown formats: the more you buy, the more you save!

Instead of our usual 30% off across the board, this time we’re offering a tiered discount: you’ll get 30% off when you buy one item, 40% off when you buy two items, and 50% off when you buy three or more.

There are so many great pieces still available—tons of summer dresses, shorts, and sandals—just in time for the warm weather.

We also want to give you a heads-up on future markdown dates. Since we don’t offer price adjustments or returns on sale items, we figure it’s best to keep you in the loop. My friend, former Georgetown clothier Betsy Fisher, used to call it “The Gambler’s Sale”—the longer you wait, the better the deal, but there’s always a chance your size or favorite piece will be gone. (Shoes, for example, tend to sell out fast.)

You can also shop the sale online if you're traveling, though the tiered discounts are only available in-store. If you can’t make it in, we’re happy to help over the phone (703-548-7110) or via Instagram DM. We're here to help!

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
