When I sat down to write this post I must admit it made me a little sad. I feel like it's the end of an era. In a few weeks we’ll be packing up The Shoe Hive and moving it into our clothing space at 315 Cameron Street. We’ve been at 127 South Fairfax since 2009 and it’s been a wonderful home for our little fashion community. I hope you’ll come to the courtyard one more time!

And if we’re being honest, I hope you’ll help us with the merchandise because we don’t really want to carry it all over to Cameron Street. I mean it has been a hot summer and that’s a lot of work! To make the move easier on us, we’re having a moving sale at The Shoe Hive - and the The Shoe Hive only.

All new merchandise at The Shoe Hive is 30 percent off from July 25th to the 28th. This includes our latest arrivals from AGL, Autry, Veja, Ganni and Freda Salvador. We never put merchandise this new on sale – we literally just unpacked some of it. So it’s the perfect time to stock up on fall shoes and grab that pair you have been eying but didn’t want to pay full price. Adina Reyter fine jewelry will also be on sale. We never discount Adina this much!

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year.
