The Trunk Show of the Season: Veronica Beard at The Hive

The most-anticipated trunk show of the fall is finally here! From October 16–19, we’re hosting our Veronica Beard Trunk Show at The Hive—and trust me, it’s going to be the best one yet. We’ve been unpacking, steaming, and styling, and I have a hunch this will be our most popular VB event ever.

This season is all about the jacket. Yes, Veronica Beard is famous for blazers (and we’ll have plenty), but the jackets this fall are next-level. The Bateman is my favorite—we have it in plaid and a stunning wine-colored leather. We’ll also have barn jackets, including the dark brown coated-collar version and the Abbas Barn Jacket in oatmeal, which takes me straight back to the 90s.

There are also incredible suits—don’t miss the cream corduroy—and plenty of versatile dresses. I’ve got my eye on the Sanders Knit Midi (perfect with boots) and the Pryce Mini in navy, which works just as well for the office as for the weekend.

And let’s not forget the shirts. Nobody does them better. If you watch college or NFL football, you’ve probably seen female sideline reporters in the Coralee. The fabric is thick, structured, and effortlessly chic—making casual dressing easy.

Stop by, flip through our Look Book, and find your favorites. We’ll be open late Thursday until 7 PM—and the best part? All Veronica Beard is 20% off during the event.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
