I love Halloween. I particularly love trick-or-treating. It’s the absolute best part of it all. Unfortunately for me, I don’t get any trick-or-treaters. Every year I pull out my favorite Halloween candy dish in hopes that we will get a few trick-or-treaters. Alas, it seems futile, and I blame the folks on Davis Street. Davis Street is Beverly Hills’s version of Lee Street in Old Town. Don’t get me wrong; it’s freaking amazing! They block off at least three blocks of Davis Street so the kids and parents can walk freely from house to house getting candy. It’s just delightful, and I get why everyone goes there. I’ve taken my kids there. If I could move to Davis Street, I would just for the Halloween festivities. It’s that good. Just the other day, I was thinking to myself that the next time we buy a house, one of the deciding factors should be the Halloween scene. I want in on that fun!

I may not get Davis Street levels at home, but Old Town Business has a lot of fun planned for the stores in Old Town. On Saturday, October 29, Old Town Business is hosting the annual Old Town Trick-or-Treat. From 11am to 5pm, bring your ghouls and ghosties to Old Town and trick-or-treat in your favorite businesses. Dozens of businesses will be handing out treats to anyone with a candy bag. Get your map here or look for the posters on the door and in the windows. 

Then on Sunday, October 30, bring your costume-clad four-legged friends out for Doggie Trick-or-Treat sponsored by The Dog Park and Old Town Business. Stop by The Dog Park, 705 King Street, to pick up your trick-or-treat bag and map that will guide your furry friend to a treasure trove of treats. 

I cannot tell you how much I love this weekend. It’s a nice trade-off, and I get my trick-or-treat fix. Though, if you’re in the Beverly Hills area, my candy dish will be full, and the pumpkin lit if you want to stop by!
