Styled Looks with Veronica Beard
It’s time for the Veronica Beard Trunk Show and once again my friends came to the rescue! I knew we needed a photo shoot to show off all the great looks they sent for spring, so I texted Ali, Tayo and Courtney, and within minutes I had my super model dream team.
I wanted a new location that was worthy of the sophistication of my models and the clothing. I remembered Luis of Stylists at North fame had a shoot a few years back at our neighbor, Elaine’s Restaurant on Queen Street. They have this chic upstairs that’s a hidden gem in Old Town.
As you can see from the photos, it all came together perfectly. I wanted to feature how versatile Veronica Beard can be. Yes, they have great jackets and suits, but it isn’t just work wear. The “work wear” they produce isn’t just for work. I think the three suiting looks show this perfectly. Ali’s suit is appropriate for work, but with some strappy heels and a clutch, I would wear it to a wedding or cocktail party. Tayo’s look is also office-appropriate and you can even layer a white button down shirt under it if you don’t want to show your arms at the office or if it’s chilly out. And if someone came in looking for an outfit for a graduation or daytime wedding, I would put them in this. Courtney is wearing a store staff favorite: the eyelet shorts and cropped jacket. This is not for most work environments but it is so perfect for any spring event. You can also wear the jacket as a separate for work.
For dressier events, Tayo wore a red knit dress that is a stunner and once again perfect for work or events. Courtney looks like a boss in her white sheath dress, and Ali is a showstopper in the silk paisley dress. I am usually not a paisley person but when I saw that dress on, I had to reconsider.
Last, but not least, the more casual looks which are what most of us need. Ali ended up walking out with the railroad jeans for her own closet. They looked so good. The striped button down on Tayo is the epitome of chic, and you can tell Courtney has been taking classes at Mind the Mat with those legs in the mini skirt.
As you can see, there is something for everyone. No matter what your day to day life, Veronica Beard works. I may be one of the few people that notices this, but every game day or newscast is filled with Veronica Beard clothing. They just know how to dress women.
