Vince Arrives at The Hive

Figuring out what merchandise to carry at both boutiques is one of the many fun parts of owning a store. It can, however, be stressful. If you mess up, the brands are likely not taking unsold merchandise back. It’s high stakes decision-making.I have been in the shoe business for some time now, but clothes are fairly new. So when I started to curate which lines to carry, I struggled at first. I asked myself: do I only do lines that are hard to find (which, the internet makes that pretty much impossible) or do I get bigger brands that everyone knows and loves? The answer is both. I try to have a mix – proven standards and emerging lines that you haven’t seen in department stores yet. So after more than two years of being a clothing buyer, and two years of still buying Vince personally online at other retailers I thought, why in the world do I not carry Vince? Even my sister who is not a big shopper called me and was like, “Sissy, every year I buy a couple sweaters from Vince and I live in them. Will you please carry the line.”So without further ado, I would like to introduce Vince clothing to The Hive.Founded in 2002 in Los Angeles, this line is known for its contemporary and streamlined clothing. The two founders recently rejoined the brand to get it back to its roots. As a lover of fashion and the business of fashion, I could tell that the line has made a comeback in recent years. We are excited to have it at The Hive. The collection always has easy-to-wear pieces that fit seamlessly into anyone’s wardrobe, no matter what your personal style might be.
