What Shoes To Wear With Wide Leg Jeans
Wide-leg jeans are in and we know this. They’re everywhere! Let’s take this a step further and focus on floor length wide-leg jeans, shall we? Many of my clients and friends come to me with the same concern of not knowing what shoes to pair with them. I could go on and on, but I will make it short and sweet.
First, you will most likely have to get your jeans hemmed to fit your inseam, shoe preference, and style. Before hemming, decide if you’re a chunky shoe person, a sleek shoe person, or both. The trend calls for more of a chunky shoe, however I don’t think we need to follow trends for the sake of following trends. If you like this style of denim, but you don’t like chunky shoes, you can still make them work. Just bring your sleek heels, booties, or boots to the tailor and ask them to keep the jeans as long as possible without dragging on the floor (this is a preference thing). If you’re a chunky shoe kind of person, bring your chunky sneakers, loafers, or boots to the tailor and ask to have the jeans hemmed to skim the floor, while also producing a slight break.
