When I went to peruse our new look book it was a bit surreal. I have not seen a single one of these items in person. Packages at the store are always met with excitement, but recently I have a bit of hesitation each time UPS or FedEx stops by. The deliveries we receive right now are “pre-spring” or resort wear. This was the first entire season that I ordered completely from line sheets and Zoom - thanks to the pandemic that shut down in-person market in New York. We filled in with Zoom orders for fall here and there, but from here on out, it is all a little more nerve racking than usual. It is so different to see things in person, on models, and just to touch and feel the fabrics. You also get a sense of larger trends and a more collective feel for what you have ordered when you spend days walking about showrooms during market. It helps make your overall “buy” more cohesive.Well, looking through this book helps me understand more what is in store for the store! I was excited as a flipped through. The top of my list is the AGL cage bootie. We are getting it in green and black, and I might just need both. The Sunday leggings from Rag and Bone are another must-have for me and can we talk about the Smythe blazers? They are a little more casual and relaxed, and we have lots of great denim and casual pants to pair them with.Of course, we have tons of “sets” coming in, along with all types of dressy sweatshirts. In my opinion, it is the perfect delivery to get us through these next few months. We will all be comfortable with elevated pieces that used to be only for casual wear and relaxed versions of our workwear.Stop in and see us.
