Win Your Order On Our NEW Penny Post Website!

Building a website is no joke. Especially if you want to do it right. And, we wanted to do it right. That’s why six months and many new gray hairs later we are happy to launch Penny Post’s brand spanking new website!

If you ask me, she’s a thing of beauty. We love how much easier it is to navigate and find exactly what you need. Instead of looking through 26 pages of cards to find the right birthday message simply go to that category and there you’ll find it. Looking for scissors, well there’s a collection for that. Need a new fountain pen, easy breezy. Want to add a little washi tape flair to your envelopes then look no further, they’re right here. Virtually the entire store can be found online now, and we could not be more excited about it.

I’d like to thank our team for making this happen. Lisa did the heavy lifting on this site and deserves most of the credit. Other shout outs go to Ariel, Kelley, and Carly for testing, adding product, managing photo shoots, and generally being extra hands to support the effort. Once again, we worked with Aeolidia (they also created Red Barn Mercantile’s site) and could not be happier with the product they created. To get those beautiful pictures on the site we collaborated with Claire Moskal of Studio Studio for her impeccable styling and Angela Newton Roy for her beautiful photography.  If you need these ladies, they are local and worth their weight in gold. I highly recommend them!

To celebrate the launch, we will be giving one lucky shopper their online order for free today. It’s super easy. Just do your stationery shopping at shoppennypost.com then we pick a winner.  Have fun perusing the new site!!

Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, Penny Post is an independent boutique specializing in custom stationery and wedding invitations. Inspired by the art of personal correspondence, the power of handwritten notes, and the smell of freshly printed stationery, we surround ourselves with quirky, hilarious, and classically beautiful things to make life a little brighter.
