Winter Weather Ready With Think Royln

When we go to market on buying trips there is typically a “show” that is going on at the Javits Center or a myriad of other spots, but we also go and visit permanent showrooms. Most larger brands have their own showrooms, but brands that are newer, aren’t based in New York, or have a limited distribution footprint typically sign up with a showroom that represents lots of different lines. This is a great way to find smaller brands. One of my favorite shared showrooms is Sola. We first started visiting them when we carried a bag line, Christopher Khan, years ago. Since then Sola brought us two great jewelry lines - Daughter and Diane Cotton - and most recently, Think Royln. Our sales rep there is Janet: she is a tiny thing with a big personality. I walked off the elevator a year ago and she was bursting with excitement to show me a new line.“Elizabeth, this is blowing up on Shopbop. They can’t keep it in and I have saved it just for you.” Janet exclaimed. At first, I scratched my head. Some of it was a little out there for me. But as I went through the racks I noticed these adorable ponchos. We brought them in last year and they were a big hit. When we went back in June I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean how many times can I order puffy ponchos? I was so pleasantly surprised at all the new shapes and colors. The jackets and bags are water resistant and the perfect weight for all the upcoming outdoor activities this fall. We will have you ready for all your tailgates and sideline watching when the rain is starting to come down or there is a chill in the air.
