Ann Mashburn: She Has Great Shoes, Too!

I know when you think of Ann Mashburn, most people think of clothing. And they should! They make the best sweaters and shirting around. In my opinion, they also make some of the best shoes around.

If you haven’t tried them, you should. First, they are made in Italy and the Italians simply know how to make shoes. Second, they are comfortable. As I continue to write about, I have horrible feet and I can wear her shoes all day, especially the loafers. I am also a fan of her buckle flat. This is the style she started her shoe offerings with and it really is a classic. I put it in the same category as the Ferragamo bow flat; it is just a timeless classic. I think no matter what you style, this shoe works. I will be adding the silver leather version to my buckle shoe collection. I think between my mom and me we have eight pairs. We wear the same size so I love that I can go see her and not have to pack any shoes!

I am excited to try her black ballet flat that they are sending just for this event at our store. Annette swears by the low cowboy boot. When we go to market she is either in the Ann Mashburn boot or the P.S. Kaufman and she can walk around all day. She can also work all day in the Joy Mule.

Come check out our latest selection of Ann Mashburn shoes and clothing at The Hive. Our trunk show starts Thursday, November 14 and lasts all weekend. Of course, the best part is all Ann Mashburn will be 20 percent off!

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
