When our young associate at the store Emily Montgomery texted me about a fundraising effort for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation that she was helping orchestrate, I knew The Shoe Hive and The Hive had to get involved. We are hosting a fundraiser at The Hive on Thursday, February 27 from 4pm to 7pm.

Despite how stressed we get when ordering, wondering if we’ve picked the right items, it’s what makes Allude so wonderful. The brand is one that you can’t find everywhere. And even if it were in big box stores, rarely is the same item carried. The sweaters are custom-made for us; we get an edited selection exclusively for The Hive and our customers.

Tibi just dropped their spring fundamentals and the main spring delivery should arrive by the end of next week. I ordered way too many personals and could somehow get more. The fundamentals are just like they sound: the pieces in your wardrobe you instantly grab because you know they work. The fit and style are proven and that is why they introduce them in different fabrics and colorways.

To launch the arrival of TWP to The Hive we’re hosting a trunk show thorugh the 26th! It will feature a ton of their core collection. We thought it was the best way to introduce this one. Sometimes I struggle when I have to tuck a shirt in, it can add bulk and I wish I had something that just hit my natural waist line. The Next Ex was perfect. I didn’t feel self-conscious at all, which I normally would. My love for it was confirmed when I went into the store one day and Angelica was wearing the same shirt!

I don’t know about you, but I’m having a really hard time getting dressed this month. I texted Ali of ALH Style and asked her to help get myself and other Stylebook readers motivated. Returning from vacation on January 4, I realized I had to get my act together and start planning the Alexandria Walkable Warehouse Sale. This is the 21st year of the sale – is that even possible? It’s that time of year when all the stores are going on sale. It used to be the day after Christmas was the big day for sales, but now it seems like they start earlier and earlier. My favorite part of opening presents is opening my stocking. If you’re a regular reader, you know I have written a lot about Tibi. Last year Tibi put out a book called The Creative Pragmatist and I am happy to finally have found something that makes my life and getting dressed easier. 

Never has there been a Tibi delivery I have loved more than this one. I started to count how many personals I ordered and well, I didn’t have enough fingers.
