Aranaz At The Shoe Hive!
I love bringing in a new bag and jewelry line every season. It has become a priority for me when I go to market. I want something different that adds a little excitement to the store. I have realized that I really stink at doing this virtually. I need to walk by a booth and have something hit me. Usually, I walk right by a booth, and then a few steps past, I realize there was something there that caught my eye, and I turn around and go back. Sometimes I keep on walking, but oftentimes I find a great new line to bring in, even if just for a season or two. When an invoice for Aranaz landed in my inbox, I was so excited. I had completely forgotten about these bags! I ordered them the last time I was in NYC in February of 2020, and I really didn’t know if we would get them. They are finally here, and they are better than I remember them being in person. We found them in the same showroom that carries Mou Mou, and we were headed out the door when they made me turn back inside. The brand is a mother-daughter trio, and the designs and crafting of the bags are based on their Filipino heritage. Their goal is to have each bag give customers a tour of the handmade traditions of the Philippines. The result is modern shapes and styles that we have never seen before, and we have been doing this for a long time. There are not so basic neutrals and colorful beaded bags just in time for warmer weather.
