Citizens of Humanity & Freda Salvador Lookbooks & Trunk Shows at The Hive
This week, we are hosting not just one great trunk show, but two great trunk shows!
I am so excited! To celebrate 24 years in business, we wanted to have a shoe brand and a clothing brand. It only made sense. Starting this Thursday, October 22, we will have Citizens of Humanity and Freda Salvador trunk shows. To help kick things off on Thursday, Griffin, our Citizens rep, will be on hand to help us celebrate. She can answer all your fit questions; it is always great to have an expert on hand.
Often, our trunk shows offer a discount, and this time is no different. But we aren’t just doing 20% off the trunk show items; we are doing 20% off everything!
Okay, so more about the trunk shows. I am sure you want to know what we got for them. Freda sent some of their best sellers, the items we know everyone loves: the Temi mule, the Loretta boot, and the Jada flat. Then, of course, Citizens sent great denim, and our shelves are stocked with tons and tons of Citizens. I just said to my sister the other day that I thought this was the best season yet for Citizens. They have really expanded into so many categories, and they are all great.
As I was flipping through the lookbooks, I was thinking, if someone asked me what the one thing they should get from each brand was, what would I say? This is very easy for me to answer and probably obvious from all the different color options I got of these items.
From Freda, it would be the Brooke boot. It is the shoe I wear most in the winter months. It is the only thing I ever take to market in NYC. A few years back, we went to Austria for Christmas, and a few years before that, we went to London. Both times, the only shoe I wore was the Brooke boot. I also want to note that it is the same pair I have owned for five years now. If you are looking for a great walking boot that is a bit elevated, this is your boot. They make it in three colors, and we have it in our inventory in one color. You will not regret buying this boot.
Then, when it comes to Citizens of Humanity, I know I should be picking a jean. It is the main denim brand I wear, and there are a few styles that are my tried and true favorites: the Annina and the Lyra, to be exact. But the item I would encourage everyone to get is the Ilaria Draped Japanese Hammered Satin Top. I love this top! Everyone always comes in looking for a cute top to wear with jeans or just something to wear to a dinner or party. This is the top! It is a perfect way to dress up jeans, great for work, and an easy solution for all the upcoming holiday parties. We also have pants in black and brown that go with the top and are flattering on everyone.
