Spring Into Style: Ulla Johnson Trunk Show 2026

I’m a little hesitant to send this notice out since this weekend is Veronica Beard, and I don’t want to take attention away from it, but I also want to make sure everyone knows about the amazing Ulla Johnson trunk show we’re hosting next weekend.

Once again, Halima, my sales representative, took incredible care of us and sent a huge trunk show package. Even as I write this, she is checking the warehouse to see if she can send more pieces. She really is the best. We’ve realized that we need to host the shoe show early in the season to ensure we get the best selection.

This spring’s show is one of the best yet. There are some brands that, after a few years (okay, a decade) of seeing them, feel like their collections are on repeat — but I never feel that way with Ulla Johnson. Yes, there are always beautiful florals, which you simply can’t go wrong with, but her shapes and fabrics change every season, and there’s always something new and exciting. This season, the fabrics are especially unique. After speaking with Halima, I realized it’s because the fabrics are part of a collaboration with the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, celebrating the work of the American abstract painter. If you Google her paintings and then see the collection, you’ll understand why it’s all so breathtaking.

My favorite piece is the sequined skirt and top inspired by the Moontide painting, and my second favorite is a silk pant and coordinating top, also inspired by Moontide.

Nothing will get you more ready for spring than the 2026 Ulla Johnson collection. If you need an outfit for an event this season, I strongly recommend coming to this trunk show.

The event kicks off Thursday, March 12, and runs through Sunday, March 15. The best part? All Ulla Johnson pieces are 20% off. We can also place special orders, though inventory is limited — I think Halima sent us all the best pieces!

If you happen to be out of town, we can always give you a sneak peek - Check out the lookbook here.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
